I purchased this ring because I wanted something practical, cheap, and available as an alternative to my nice set.
I must say, it is surprisingly comfortable. Tungsten has an almost oiled feel, which is silky smooth sliding on and off one's finger. Only my stone rings come close to the same luxurious feel. The size runs true, and while the ring easily slides on and off it feels very secure while being worn. The ring is lightly etched TUNGSTEN on the inner band with no other markings. The color is comparable to hematite, a silvery gun metal grey. While it is heavier than a standard 2mm band, at this size that weight is almost negligible. I've worn it for a few days at this point and must say it has not reacted to my finger. If there are any issues after a month or so I will report back for those of us with sensitive skin. If I do not, all is well.
I would highly recommend this ring for those who are practical, who desire something a little different and special, who love hematite or at least do not mind it, and anyone who wants a solid, durable, non-traditional ring that will need minimal maintenance.
If you want the hematite color without the shine, find something brushed. If you expect something closer to silver buy titanium and be prepared to have it polished on occasion. And if you just want to spend money buy palladium or platinum. As for myself I choose durability and strength.
With all that, I must caution that tungsten and titanium are not re-sizable by any jeweler, nor can they be repaired. They should be taken off when working with harsh chemicals such as bleach, or chlorine in the local pool as all jewelry must.
The ring came well packaged and has a nice shine to it. It was th right size and appears to be exactly as promised. I expect it will be durable and last a very long time.
